The first of two concerts celebrating the 15th birthday of the Orchestra (see also 6th August 2010, Salzburg Festival) and the 150th anniversary of the birth of Gustav Mahler.


These concerts were made possible through generous additional support from Unitel, Deutsche Bank, Pappas Gruppe and Yoko Nagae Ceschina.

The concert was transmitted on BBC2 TV on Saturday 7th August 2010.
