Charles Kaye - Director and General Manager

Director and General Manager of the World Orchestra for Peace, Charles Kaye was Georg Solti's Executive Administrator for 20 years, responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of the maestro's conducting schedule, recordings and international tours. He organised the first gathering of the World Orchestra for Peace, which Solti conducted in 1995, since when he has been the driving force of the orchestra, working closely with Gergiev for each of their  subsequent appearances.

After studying at Cambridge, Charles Kaye gained experience of artistic administration working with such figures as Daniel Barenboim and Benjamin Britten, before joining Lies Askonas Artist Management. He began his collaboration with Georg Solti in 1977. In addition to his position with the World Orchestra for Peace, Charles Kaye acts as music consultant and advisor to a select group of international artists and organisations.
